NCR Ranks and some more info about them

Note: all ingame ranks are abbreviated to differentiate from enclave. For all ranks, racism, sexism and the like are unacceptable.

Normal Trooper Ranks:

Private: Starter rank, does gruntwork and is assigned a squad based on what they're good at. They are expected to be respectful to superiors and people of the wastes.

Private First Class: step above private, this rank is given to recruits who show promise. They don't have the authority to command a squad or others but are to be respected by privates.

Corporal: Awarded to troops who show promise in battle and leading others. They can lead small scouting parties.

Sergeant: These soldiers are the first rank that can lead of squad of 3 soldiers. They can, with the major or captain's permission, take their squad out on missions that can range from helping a wastelander to a small raid.

Sergeant First Class: A full step above seargents, they are the second highest non officer rank. They have the authority to send squads out on low risk missions and can be a squad leader.

Sergeant Major: Highest non-officer rank in the San Francisco division of the NCR. They are able to participate in war meetings. These men and women are shining examples of NCR discipline and enforce the rules while the officers are away. They can send squads on moderate risk missions and can lead troops into battle I'd given the green light from command.

Officer Ranks:

2nd Lieutenant: Starter officer rank, they can participate in officer meetings and instead of leading squads they lead troops into battle and can send squads on any level of risk difficulty with command's approval. The 2nd Lt is expected to organize the men and instill discipline.

1st Lieutenant: the third in command of the San Fran NCR division. They do not need permission to send troops on low or medium risk missions but the mission can be cancelled by high command. They, like the 2nd Lt are excpected to exemplify the NCR's values and teach the troops discipline. They are in charge of training the troops.

Captain: The second in command of the NCR of San Fran. They can send troops on any risk level mission and the mission can only be cancelled by the Major. They oversee troop movement and can assign troops to guard outposts.

Major: The leader of the NCR division in San Fran. They oversee literally everything that goes on in the NCR base. They can send squads out on any risk level mission and can add troops to outposts and other guarding positions. The Major is the shining example of what it means to be in the NCR. They can do the job of any officer and can call officer meetings or war meetings.
