Welcome Brother/Sister to our ranks! We of the Western Brotherhood of Steel are focused on gathering prewar technology and learning how to use it. The only time we really deal with outsiders is when we are recruiting, other than that we are a solitary group dedicated to the obtaining of prewar tech and upholding our values.

The Ranking system for the Western BoS will follow the lore ranks with a few additions from the Eastern BoS, the ranks are as follows:
Basic Rank:
Initiate: Recruits of the BoS they are restricted in what they can do and where they can go in the bunker. They are trained by knights to become squires and then knights. They are expected to obey orders and be respectful.
After Initiate you have the choice of going down 2 paths with a third Paladin path for BoS officers:
Knight Path:
Squire: A knight in training, the squire is barely more trustworthy than the initiate. If they preform well they become knights and are given more responsibilities. The squir must accompany their knight wherever they go and do anything they command.
Journeyman Knight: Beginner knights who are fresh out of squiredom. They are put in a squad and are expected to fulfill their job, whatever it happens to be.
Knight: The most common rank of the knight path. They teach squires what it means to be a knight. They are not usually put in charge of squads unless absolutely needed to. (can wear PA if squad leader)
Senior Knight: An experienced knight who controls a squad of knights. They are loyal to the cause and serve the brotherhood with honor. They know their mission and will not let anything stop them. (can wear PA)
Knight Captain(officer rank, only 1): The leader of the knights. They command all other knights and knight squads. They can send knight squads on missions and lead troops in battle. They embody what it means to be a knight. (Can wear PA)
Scribe Path:
Apprentice Scribe: New scribes who have yet to learn much about the tech they recover and record data on small pieces of tech and record the names of fallen brothers.
Scribe: scribes record the bulk of information needing to be recorded. Like other scribe they are non-combatants and avoid fighting at all costs. Requirement: Averge potion maker and farmer.
Head Scribe (officer rank, only 1): The head scribe is in charge of the other scribes and knows the most about brotherhood and prewar tech. Requirement: must be master potion maker and farmer.
Paladin path (people who are paladins make up the bulk of the officers):
Junior Paladin: A newbie paladin who is not yet trained. They command a large group of knights and oversee storage along with troop activity.
Paladin: A paladin who has been trained and passed tests. They are in charge of troop discipline along with the knight captain. The paladin rank is often seen wearing power armor inscribed with their rank. These men and women fight with valor and strength.
Head Paladin: commander of the paladins, they train new paladins and lead men into battle. They have shown unfaltering loyalty to the brotherhood. They also are in charge of handing out squad assignments.
Sentinel: The second in command of the BoS, they take charge when the elder is away or take over should he die. They run most of the day to day activities of the brotherhood. They protect the elder with their life and embody the brotherhoods creed and mission.
Elder: The Elder is in charge of the San Fran chapter of the BoS. They're in charge of everything that goes on in the base and with that chapter. The BoS values are dear to their heart and they will fight for them as long as they live.
